Accommodations were clean and well-appointed. Loved that the home was well setback from the road; adequate acreage and foliage provided an environment that felt private and secluded and yet was... read more convenient enough to I-40 and nearby stores. I would have given 5 stars overall except for the fact that the AC stopped working Saturday night and AC tech. was not available to look at it until the following Monday (our checkout day). Fortunately, Saturday night temp was moderate and we had fans. In some ways it added positively to the ambience. But mid-day Sunday got uncomfortable so I powered off the AC and blower for a time and then restarted it and that seemed to resolve the cooling issue. Amelia had indicated that the AC was recently serviced in prep for the summer. It is understood that incidental breakdowns can and do occur at times. However, AC issues aside, an excellent value for the money overall. Recommend these accommodations to anyone looking for a quiet get away.

We have stayed at many houses in the Morganton area over the years and liked this one best. It is unique and charming. Beautiful, spacious grounds.
