There was a sufficient number of pots and pans and multiple coffee-making options (French Press & pour-over) which was great because, let's face it, people are picky about coffee. We stayed there over Christmas and were able to cook various dishes easily. Loved, loved, loved the record player and accompanying records. All in all, a fab stay!

I picked a great time of year to come as well with the fall colors and the perfect weather, just cool enough at night to be cozy. The property was excellent, super private, and well-maintained, very clean. The hot tub was great, and the surroundings were even better with the maple trees and the peace and quiet. I am definitely planning to visit again, maybe in the winter so I can hopefully enjoy some snow since we never seem to get it at my spot in the mountains!

We traded communications the entire time, thank goodness this stayed working through Saturday at least for us. For the one night we did stay on the property after the outage Amelia offered up the 'Off Grid' unit down the hill for us to stay in since there was power and internet at the tiny house. This minor transition made the weekend much more palatable and it gave me time to re-think my travel plans. I stay in the are often for work and did not have the option to just go home. All in all it worked out, AirBnb's refund due to disaster kicked in and I was able to recoop some of my stay. I love this location and will always look to stay here first so long as I can get a decent weekly rate. For anyone wondering, the storm was for real in Valdese.
